The Hopkins Football tradition is strong, dating all the way back to Walter Camp, widely credited as the father of American football and a Hopkins School alumnus. The football program strives to teach fundamentals to its players while instilling a love for the game. Hopkins offers football at three levels: Junior School (7th & 8th grade), Junior Varsity, and Varsity. The varsity team competes against schools from Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. The football teams practice and compete on Parr Field; this field is newly renovated as of the 2014 season and is made of artificial turf.
