  • Visiting the Sistine Chapel brings on awe-inspired reverence that somehow has little to do with God or religion and instead, has everything to do with Michelangelo's four year dedication to this piece of art that is lost in a time where we can purchase wallpaper prints that mimic The Creation of Adam and somehow justify it as "the same." I wish more people stood in silence. I wish children still read textbooks rather than iPads, and that somehow, the study of these pillars of time were still as tangible as they were when I first learned about their significance. Still, that didn't keep me from sneaking in a 360 view although I know it is not the same.
