Welcome to South Gate Middle School

Home of the VIKINGS since 1941! We are excited that you are considering South Gate Middle School S.T.E.M. Magnet Program as your school of choice for your child! The S.T.EM. Magnet Program was established in 2005 to support all students who are interested in 21st century S.T.E.M. learning skills. The program is recognized by the Los Angeles Unified School District- Student Integration Office as, An Excelling Magnet Program. The program offers a rigorous, exciting and engaging academic program, aimed at developing multiple S.T.E.M. disciplines (communications, collaboration, writing and critical thinking skills). Students are also engaged in projects that include robotics, coding, problem solving skills, research, and computer science.
