PAIRING NO. 024 "DIGGING FOR SHELLS" by June (Yoriko) Hutson ~ at Brookdale Oakwood June liked the image of a beach scene at sunset. She painted the colors of the sky and while painting the sand on the beach she talked about being a child living in Japan. She said that her home was surrounded by nothing but water. PAIRING NO. 026 "CALLING MOM" by Joyce Reese ~ at Brookdale Oakwood I showed Joyce a picture of a telephone and asked, “If you could call up anyone, who would you call?” Joyce said, “I would call my mother and she would tell me that my father died.” Today, Joyce’s right hand was in a sling, so she had to use her left hand. PAIRING NO. 031 "BLUE EYE" by Sandra Doucette- at Brookdale Centennial Sandra said she was the only one in her family with blue eyes. She painted a blue circle, her eye and five blue squares, one for each letter in her dog Micki’s name. The blue dashes at the bottom are the initials of her four brothers.
