The Tyne Bridge is one of the most iconic architectural pieces of the NewcastleGateshead skyline. An instagrammers dream - we think it is one of the most photographed bridges on the Quayside.

At the time of its construction in 1876, the Swing Bridge was the largest of its kind ever built. In 2018 the grade II listed structure underwent a £200,000 renovation, which involved 25,000 hours of work and 10,000 screws!

Both cars and trains can cross the Tyne on High Level Bridge. Opened by Queen Victoria in 1849, the bridge was originally designed to help form a rail link towards Scotland.
