Tamarack (a.k.a. larch) trees, deciduous conifers, turning golden yellow in the fall. It's cloudy, so the colors aren't as vivid as they are on a sunny day. From my annual October drive into the close by Elkhorn Mountains in Northeast Oregon to see the fall colors. Newcomers sometimes mistakenly think the trees are dying, but they lose their needles in the fall and grow them back in the spring.
