VIsiting Pompeii is one of the most spectacular and eerie things to do in Italy. If it is possible to be a fan of a tragedy, I have been a fan of this since a Schoolastic News report sometime in the early years of Elementary School. The story was enough to make me want to be a scientist, digging at excavations. Years later, I took that story to heart as I unearthed a hundred years of history in my own back yard. These are the stories that make childhood an amazing time. These are the times that make being an adult seem like an extension of childhood. And in those moments, that is all that matters.
