Open Air Museum and Station "Chuj" The so-called "Open Air Museum" is located in front of the west facade of Structure 12. Some of the monuments are of Olmec origin from the Middle Preclassic, moved there from their original site. The centerpiece is Stela 5, which is carved with 2 human figures standing in profile, facing each other. Between them are two columns of glyphs with a long count of the Mayan calendar. The left column data is 126 AD, while the one on the right records the year 83 AD or possibly 103 AD. For some people, the sculptures of a crocodile and a toad next to Stela 5 are their “nahual” guardians.
