11- Burial Station No. 2 In Burial No. 2, six female figurines were found near the shoulder of the ruler K'utz Chman. It constitutes one of the most important recent findings in Maya civilization research. The figurines are made of clay and possibly represent the maidens of the royal court. They are young women, with their own anatomical details, differentiating one from the other. Two of them have the classic Maya profile, the others share different features. Together they symbolize the cardinal points; one represents the north, another the south, and the remaining four the axis of the sun's journey between east and west.
