( ) (2022) by Luk Long-man Sound In the midst of dullness, Luk Long-man captured the sounds of bedroom objects from different angles and acoustics. The waves, once separated from the object, are placed back in line with the virtual room's arrangement, calling attention to the varying distances between what is seen and what is heard. - is a Hong Kong-based musician and sound artist. Traditionally trained as an erhuist, he performs in various styles including rock and jazz, yet has been fascinated most with ambient and generative music. With an experimental mind, He searches for sounds from world instruments, modular synths, field recordings, and any intersections in between. Being enthusiastic about audiovisual and interactive technology, his recent works cover a range of practices including spatial sound design, creative coding, VR installation, game design, and oscilloscope animation.
